RIFESTA in Basel. Resume

RIFESTA Holding once again took part in the worlds leading jewelry and watch fair, BASELWORLD 2009 (Basel, Switzerland) in April. Every year this becomes a meeting point for the worlds top jewelers, as well as established and up and coming companies. Despite the world economic crisis this year, there were 359 watch brands, 522 jewelry brands from 45 countries and approximately 100 thousand visitors.
RIFESTA presented our new concept line named the Ballet to European customers together with our other jewelry; already well-known to customers. The first jewelry pieces from the Ballet line were introduced in January of 2009 at the “IJT” show in Tokyo, Japan (The 20th International Jewellery Show.) The first positive feedback about the line was received from Japanese experts as well as from Russian Diplomatic officials.
The Ballet has also drawn the careful attention of potential European clients and Russian Diplomatic officials at the Baselworld show 2009.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Switzerland, Mr. Igor Bratchikov, personally visited the RIFESTA booth and expressed his appreciation of the brand. In particular he commented on the creativity of the brand and the company’s production facilities which allow Rifesta to build business in the European market.
According to General Director of «RIFESTA Holding» Mr. Maxim Strezhnev, the situation plays into the hands of Russian jewelry manufacturers. An increase in the World currency rate has influenced the final merchandise cost when imported from abroad; that is why many Russian importers have decreased import flow and re-orientated to domestic products in the same price segment. Foreign retailers are taking an active interest in Russian jewelry products, because they are concerned about fresh design and new jewelry brands to expand their assortment.
Jewelry manufactured by «RIFESTA Holding» meets all these expectations and both Russian and Japanese experts acknowledge the quality of RIFESTA jewelry. All of these factors made the RIFESTA stand busy during the show days in Basel.
Results of the BASELWORLD show 2009 proved the serious potential of RIFESTA brand in Russia and abroad. During the exhibition the company held negotiations with partners from USA, Japan and potential partners from Europe, Asia and Northern America. During economic stagnation many companies have adjusted their growth plans; participation in the world’s biggest jewelry show continues to be a performance measure of a brand in the marketplace. As one of the management officials stated “Basel is for those who plan development, not shut-down…”
